Metro New York Chapter
Mission Statement

The Metro New York Chapter currently has more than 150 members. Our mission is to continue to provide quality programs and top-notch activities for our members and guests, creating a favorable venue for the exchange of ideas and information pertinent to the precious metals industry as well as an opportunity to socialize.


The Metro New York Chapter gratefully acknowledges the support of the IPMI and its board of directors and looks forward to working with them to our mutual benefit in the future. Matthew Trudeau -Trade Wind Market
Matt has 17 years’ experience in electronic trading and markets. Prior to TWM Matt was Head of Product and Ventures at IEX responsible for product and project management for both the alternative trading system (ATS) and exchange launches, and strategic business development initiatives including the development of TWM. Prior to joining IEX, Matt held positions with Chi-X Global, Chi-X Canada, Instinet, and CyberTrader, a subsidiary of Charles Schwab. Matt holds a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and Series 24, 7, 55, 3, 99 securities licenses.

Suki Cooper, Precious Metals Analyst, Standard Chartered Bank

Suki is the Bank’s Precious Metals Analyst, based in New York. She covers the markets for gold, silver, platinum and palladium, along with the key producing countries and consuming sectors. She joined Standard Chartered from Barclays, where she spent 11 years, most recently as Head of Metals Research. Prior to this, she was a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Suki is a member of the Public Affairs Committee of the London Bullion Market Association. She is an ACA Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Miguel Perez-Santalla - Heraeus Precious Metals


Miguel currently works for Heraeus Metals New York which is part of the Heraeus Precious Metals business Unit. He has worked in the trading, import/export and refining of precious metals. In his over 35 years in the business, he has garnered intimate knowledge in the industrial, wholesale, and retail investment sectors. He has presented as a speaker at many prestigious venues, appeared on television and has been frequently quoted in the press. He is currently the treasurer for the Metro New York Chapter of the IPMI and sits on the executive board of the Precious Metals Association of North America.
